Snow Globe

We had the most beautiful snowfall today so I decided to take some pictures, trying to capture the huge fluffy flakes as they came down. No easy feat! This is how it looked from my front window and you can just make out the flakes against all the white.

Then I thought I'd take a picture from my bedroom window where I have my glass collection which includes my great aunt's crystal ball. I noticed that the snow and trees were reflected beautifully in it so I put it up on the sill and photographed it. My very own magical snow globe!

A winter wonderland of the imagination..

Best...

Wow, this is stunning. Ok, well the crystal ball is stunning on its own, what a wonderful treasure to have. You did a brillant job of capturing the beautiful scene. Boy it looks cold.....

thanks ladies!

Kathy... yes... the crystal ball is one of my most precious possessions. It belonged to my great aunt for many many years and when she passed I was so honored to have it become mine. Thanks for the kudos on the pic.. I just loved the way the reflection mirrors the scene and bends it to conform to the ball. And yes.. it was cold! lol

Denise... Go for it! lol

Oh so glorious - I'd swap any day for the humidity we've been having down here! Beautiful scene, totally beautiful!
