Yesterday was for treasure hunting so I thought I'd share some pics of my new stash... old books and magazines dated 1898 - 1910... skeleton keys ($2 for a whole bag) a printers block of a mechanical drawing (love it!) and a whole bucket of hardware. Too much to list but the pics will show you that I had a fun time treasure hunting. :o)
After the thunderstorms yesterday we now have beautiful cool and clear weather. I'm going to work in the gardens... at least I think they're still gardens... do weeds count?
Have a great Sunday..
Best...

Lucky you! Fabulous finds - is that a fox in a bonnet??
Hi Stacy :o)
Thanks.. they were great finds. It doesn't happen all the time but I'm fairly dedicated to the hunt. That's a big part of having fun as an artist.
Yes, that fox has a hat on with feathers. It's a very old German book. I think the title is 'The Clever Fox'. Great illustration!
(also $2) from a book collector's estate.
Thanks for stopping by... would love to hear about your treasure hunting too.
Well my favorite find is a little blue stove/oven old enamel and my favorite place is Elephant Trunk Market - New Milford CT where I have spent this morning and have returned with wonderful treasures for Art Is...You!
